I wish to quietly express the beauty that exists within silence.

In a solitary atelier, I sit at my jewelry bench,
listening to the sounds of hammering and polishing,
facing each piece with complete attention.
This silence is not merely the backdrop—it is essential to my creation.

By immersing myself in a quiet environment,
I dive deep into the sea of creativity,
where I find those faintly shimmering, precious elements.
And from them, I weave quiet beauty into form.

Honest Craftsmanship and One-of-a-Kind Stories

I studied metalworking at Tokyo University of the Arts,
where I explored traditional techniques and developed my own approach to design.
Each piece is crafted to carry both silence and beauty,
gently accompanying the everyday life of the person who wears it.

I draw inspiration from the rhythm and forms found in nature.
Rather than reproducing them directly, I interpret them through my own lens,
refining them into ornamental expressions of quiet elegance.

At the center of my design are the themes of stillness, connection, and space.
I strive for beauty that does not explain itself,
but simply resonates—without words, and without excess.

Integrity in Materials and Making

At Tomoko Maeda Jewelry, I believe each work should speak for itself.

• I choose only authentic jewelry materials, such as 18k gold and platinum (Pt900)

• I also challenge myself to work with traditional Japanese alloys like shakudo and shibuichi

• I select gemstones and pearls not only by grade, but by the way they "speak" to the heart

• Every piece is crafted by hand, using techniques such as forging, casting, and chasing

• I devote the most care to the parts that will never be seen once completed
